Must come from an MSP backgroundPlease ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.Dublin based - hybrid working options€120k - €135k base + benefitsA well-established and growing Irish managed services business is entering a significant growth phase and as part of this journey the business is creating a new executive role and is seeking a Chief Technology & Security Officer (CTSO) to join the senior leadership team.This is a commercially facing, strategic technology leadership role, suited to someone who can operate confidently at C-level while remaining close enough to the technology to shape architecture, standards, and customer solutions.The CTSO will report directly into the COO and will play a key role in supporting go-to-market strategy, shaping the security and cloud practices, and setting the overall technical direction of the organisation as it scales.The position is working for a medium sized MSP in the Irish market, and it is essential that the candidate has MSP experience.The RoleThe CTSO will act as the technical authority across the business, with particular responsibility for Security, Cloud, and Solution Architecture.This is not a hands-on engineering role, but it does require strong technical credibility and the ability to lead from the front in customer and commercial environments.You will:Set the technical vision and standards across security and cloud servicesSupport pre-sales and strategic customer engagementsHelp shape and evolve the organisation's security offeringsAct as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal stakeholdersRaise the bar on solution design, architecture quality, and documentationOver time, the CTSO will build and lead a technical leadership function, including solution architecture and security capability, as the business grows organically and through acquisition.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the technology and security strategy across cloud, security, and managed servicesSupport go-to-market activity, pre-sales, and complex solution designLead executive-level conversations with enterprise customers (500–1,000+ users, often international)Shape, review, and evolve the security practice, including evaluating new tools and servicesSet standards for architecture, solution design, and technical documentationPartner closely with Sales and Delivery teams to scope, size, and design enterprise solutionsPlay a key role in M&A activity, including technical due diligence and integrationSit at the management table, helping drive change during a growth and "reset" phaseWhat We're Looking ForThis role suits someone who blends technical depth with commercial awareness and is comfortable being both a leader and a customer-facing technologist.You will likely have:Senior leadership experience (CTO, CIO, Head of Architecture, Principal Architect, or similar)Strong expertise across xsokbrc Security and Cloud architecturesExperience working with enterprise-scale environmentsA background in pre-sales, solution design, or technical consultingThe ability to communicate complex solutions clearly and crediblyExperience setting technical standards and influencing teamsA collaborative leadership style and strong cultural fitTechnology exposure (not all required):Microsoft (Azure, M365) – certifications highly valuedVMwareSecurity technologies (e.g.
