Process Engineer - Kerry A vacancy exists for a Process Engineer within the Packaging Department, reporting to the area Team Lead. Ability to identify and implement significant process improvements to existing production lines, which will enhance the productivity of the Business Unit. The successful candidate will identify equipment performance issues and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence. Additionally, the candidate will support the Project Team in respect to New Product Introduction and set-up of process to meet required timelines. Candidates should possess a 3rd level qualification in an Engineering discipline. Preferably, experience in a technical role within a high-volume manufacturing environment with experience in Pharmaceuticals an advantage. Responsibilities will include: Provide daily support to the Packaging Business Unit. Identify and implement cost justified process and equipment improvements. Identify and eliminate repetitious machine failures. Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools and data to drive continuous improvement. Manage and Communicate progress on Improvement Projects. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflow, space requirements and equipment layout. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement improvements under change control. Support introduction of processes for NPIs. Carry out Risk Assessments as required. Prepare process reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends. Past experience will include: Experience working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change control. Experience carrying out Process Risk Assessments an advantage. Experience of Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements. Proven problem-solving abilities able to identify facts, consider alternative approaches and evaluate the most appropriate action. Proven experience in the application of lean systems, problem solving etc. (Lean Six Sigma Qualification an advantage). Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
