Clerical Officer (Patients Accounts Officer) Grade IV Part Time Hours (28 hours per week). Permanent Contract. Responsibilities Include: Submit private insurance claims to LAYA Healthcare weekly while adhering to deadlines to maximize revenue for the hospital. This involves processing all claims and submitting after QA checks. Patient and account enquires on an ongoing basis in all communication methods. Dealing with third party companies regarding patient bills and claims. Liaison with the Patient Accounts Manager on weekly submission targets and any concerns arising. Debt Collection: Generating & monitoring if debt collection with external agency. Replying to all correspondence. Reviewing LAYA pended claims, follow up with relevant consultants & billing agents. Analysis of LAYA rejected claims & appealing same. Dealing with self-payer claims and following up of same. Monitor private long stay patients. Eligibility Criteria - Qualifications and/or Experience Essential: Excellent Microsoft Office skills to include Word and advanced Excel. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail. Desirable: Knowledge of private health insurance requirements. Knowledge of IPMS & Claimsure IT systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous financial experience.
