Job Title: Precision Toolmaker Specialist
Are you a skilled and experienced toolmaker looking to join a dynamic team? We are currently seeking a Precision Toolmaker Specialist to join our client's organization in Galway on a permanent contract.
As a Precision Toolmaker Specialist, you will be responsible for manufacturing, modifying, and repairing precision tools, jigs, and fixtures. You will also support welding, surface grinding, and other operations as required. Your role will involve assembling and fitting mechanical components with high precision, assisting in the maintenance and repair of tooling to ensure minimal downtime, working closely with the team to support the repairs and spares division, providing technical support and guidance to customers when needed, and ensuring all work meets quality standards and project deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a qualification in Toolmaking, Precision Engineering, or a related field. You must also have proven experience in a toolmaking or precision engineering environment, including reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and experience in tool repair and maintenance is highly desirable. Additionally, you will require good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills for occasional customer interactions, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
