Job Purpose
:
The Azure DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role plays a pivotal part in enabling continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams, and driving innovation through DevOps best practices and modern Azure services.
Key Responsibilities
(Key Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to)
* Design, implement, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tools, including Azure Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards, and Test Plans.
* Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
* Administer and optimize Azure resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, SQL Database, Storage, and Networking components.
* Implement version control best practices using Git and Azure Repos, including effective branching, pull requests, and merge strategies.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline operations and deployment workflows.
* Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes within the Azure environment.
* Monitor system health, performance, and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
* Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams.
* Ensure infrastructure security and compliance using Azure Key Vault, Azure Policy, and other governance tool
* Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
* Continuously improve DevOps practices, tools, and processes across teams.
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance on Azure DevOps strategies and best practices.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, pipelines, and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
* Proven experience in a similar DevOps role with strong focus on Azure technologies.
* Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps services (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards, Test Plans).
* Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
* Solid experience with Git and source control workflows.
* Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
* Familiarity with Azure monitoring and logging tools (Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
* Sound understanding of Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPNs).
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities across cloud and on-prem environments.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within agile, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
* Experience implementing Azure security features (Azure Security Center, Azure AD, RBAC).
* Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server and Cosmos DB.
* Previous experience working in regulated industries or within compliance-focused environments
