EHS Advisor - Facilities Management
Our client is a large Irish-owned facilities management company working across various sectors.
We are recruiting for an EHS Advisor to join the EHS team, ideally suited to an individual with a construction or trade background.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure timely completion of tasks and actions
* Develop comprehensive guidelines and documentation for health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Implement and enforce required standards to safeguard employees and protect the environment
* Prepare and inspect Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) documentation
* Conduct administrative and site audits to verify adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory requirements
* Maintain a safe working environment through monitoring compliance among specialist subcontractors, agency personnel, and direct employees
* Foster relationships and maintain a positive presence on-site to ensure strict compliance with EHS guidelines and regulations
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive measures
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective measures to mitigate future incidents
* Ensure continued compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
* Stay updated on changes in regulations and adapt company practices accordingly
* Manage employee training records and prepare EHS reports for senior management
* Perform additional duties as necessary to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
* Degree qualification in an EHS discipline
* Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Construction industries essential
* 5 years' experience in a fast-paced commercial environment
* Internal Auditing accreditation, including Integrated Management Systems (ISO 14000 and ISO 45001)
* In-depth knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations
* Preferred qualifications: Train the Trainer, First Aid, Manual Handling, and DSE Assessor
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to generate detailed reports
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent English
* Experience with Construction Regulations and CDM roles, working with sub-contractors
* Ability to work within tight deadlines, prepare audits and reports, and identify positive and negative acts
Package:
€55K- €65k negotiable based on experience and qualifications
Full-time permanent role with company benefits, life assurance, pension, health insurance, etc.
Role will be based in Dublin, with regular travel to client sites
