Position Overview
St. Michael’s House is a leading provider of disability services in Ireland. We are currently recruiting Social Care Workers for the Dublin region to support people with disabilities and promote their independence and community integration across 170 locations.
Essential Criteria for Applicants
Experience in a key working role focusing on promoting independence and community integration
Experience working as part of a team
Experience implementing positive behaviour support plans
Excellent communication skills
Eligibility to work in Ireland
Essential Qualifications Required (one of the following)
QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) – Open Training College
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Care Practice
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Social Care
Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland
Currently in the process of or fully registered as a Social Care Worker (CORU)
Salary Scale – Social Care Workers
Successful candidates will be paid in line with the HSE revised consolidated Social Care Worker pay scale. Point 1: €40,851 – Point 12: €57,217, LSI pro‑rata per annum, based on a 39‑hour week. Candidates without prior public sector experience will be placed on point 1 of the pay scale.
