Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all plant, equipment and services on site are operational and maintained in a safe working order.
Main Responsibilities
* Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic disciplines.
* Prioritise work as events occur.
* Effect repairs where possible, seeking technical assistance from suppliers or manufacturers.
* Plan for the installation of new equipment, including the provision of services.
* Specify materials required for the installation of equipment in accordance with regulations.
* Carry out routine inspections of plant and equipment as specified in regulations.
* Ensure appropriate records are kept using the relevant systems.
* Maintain safe working procedures at all times.
* Train other personnel when required.
* Communicate effectively with Team Leaders and Management.
Essential Requirements
* A time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline is essential.
* Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop.
* Experience of working with CNC machines.
* Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
* Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* A results-focused self-starter with excellent analytical skills.
* A ‘can-do attitude’, proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Available to work additional hours when required.
