This role sits within a growing technology team focused on delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions across critical banking platforms. The position begins on a 6-month contract with a strong view to transitioning into a permanent role.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for applications deployed on Red Hat OpenShift .Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to ensure high-quality delivery across the CI/CD pipeline.Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across containerised environments.Validate application deployments, configurations, and environments within OpenShift clusters.Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and deliver clear, actionable defect reports.Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks, automation practices, and quality governance.Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input on test estimates, risk assessments, and delivery timelines.Required Experience3+ years' experience as a Test Engineer or QA Engineer in complex enterprise environments.Hands-on experience working with Red Hat OpenShift, including deployments, pods, containers, and configuration management.Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, JUnit, or similar).Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Experience testing microservices and APIs (REST, JSON, Postman, etc.).Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts and container orchestration.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Desirable SkillsExperience within the banking or financial services sector.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).ISTQB certification or similar.About Korn Ferry*Korn Ferry unleashes potential in people, teams, and organizations.
