Social Care Worker

Responsibilities
* Advocate for residents’ rights and promote their autonomy.
* Plan and deliver person‑centred support for living, including activities, communication, behaviour support, independent living skills, and personal care.
* Act as key worker, develop person‑centred plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Ensure medication administration, health monitoring, and safe living environments.
* Maintain accurate records, budgets, and reporting, following CCoI policies and health & safety regulations.
* Support residents’ physical and recreational participation, including community integration.
* Provide transport and travel assistance as required.
* Co‑ordinate house team schedules, induction, training, and overall staff wellbeing.
* Maintain custody of money, petty cash, and ensure financial compliance.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* Level 7 (BA) in Social Care Studies or an equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
* Full CORU registration or proof that application is in progress.
* 1–2 years experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Knowledge of current national and sectoral policy relating to social care.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient IT skills – Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams.
* Full driver’s licence and ownership of a car (essential).

Details of the Role
Salary Scale: €36,379 – €52,445 per annum (40 hour week).
Location: Jerpoint Camphill, Thomastown R95 YY88.
Duration: Full‑time 40 hours per week – Permanent; part‑time 24 hrs per week – Permanent.
Closing date: Friday 28th November 2025.
Recruitment will be conducted in November 2025. Garda vetting, reference checks, and police checks will be required.
