Job Title: Operations Excellence Specialist


About the Role:

The Manufacturing Systems Expert plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities:

* Cycle counting checks and stock alignment across systems to maintain inventory integrity.
* Perform scheduled stocktakes outside of cycle counts as per defined frequency, including annual site stocktake, to ensure accurate inventory levels.
* Align backflush materials and liaise with master data on factor changes if required to optimize production workflows.
* Verify consumption records in MES/SAP and TECO in SAP to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
* Daily follow up and correction of 'problem' stock to minimize disruptions to production.
* Resolve i Docs/COGI errors to prevent production delays.
* Perform missing transactions in TKD or other systems to maintain data consistency.
* Develop and implement new SOP/OPL procedures to improve operational efficiency.
* Coach and train the manufacturing team on correct system usage to enhance productivity and accuracy.
* Correct incorrect product declarations across all systems to maintain regulatory compliance.
* Liaise with finance for month-end closure to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Resolve any issues blocking the month process in a timely manner to maintain production schedules.
* Investigate production orders with unexpected associated activities or consumptions to identify areas for improvement.
* Conduct WISE, Tekdan, and SAP UAT/simulation testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
* Assist other departments when they require MFG input in new system development or system improvement to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* Setup and train new users on manufacturing systems to ensure seamless adoption and minimize disruption to production.
* Set up MFG systems for trials, new products, etc. to support innovation and growth.
* Liaise with WISE, DANIS, GEA to ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
* Log and respond to tickets to provide timely support and resolution to production issues.
* Attend weekly Raws and Stocks meeting to stay informed and contribute to discussions on inventory management and control.
* Run, construct, and send out reports as required to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.
* Update WISE master data as requested to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Administer Poka system, creating forms and setting up new plant structures to support efficient production operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or relevant software applications.
* Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
* Experience with MES/SAP and/or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
