Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the store when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are not present.
* Foster an inspiring and inclusive culture among team members.
* Ensure that the team is fully trained and competent in their roles.
* Promote open communication, encouraging trust and collaboration.
* Mentor and guide colleagues to enable them to deliver daily priorities and meet customer needs.
* Review reports and systems to drive improvement and achieve goals.
* Drive a zero-food-waste culture, managing date codes to minimize waste.
* Recruit top talent for the team, selecting individuals passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
* Understand cleaning specifications and ensure effective implementation through the team.
* Manage stock control activities, warehouse layout, and processes to optimize efficiency.
* Root cause incorrect prices, overcharges, refunds, and label routines to ensure accurate pricing.
* Optimize front-end operations to minimize customer queuing.
* Recognize excellent customer service and provide feedback where necessary.
Requirements:
* Previous retail experience, preferably in a similar role.
* Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and colleague engagement.
* Adaptability and agility in approach.
* Delivery of key objectives in fast-paced environments.
* Ability to be the 'Go To' person for department queries.
* Influencing at senior levels.
