The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a strong background in industry and a proactive approach to business partnering. This is a great opportunity for someone looking take on a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the month-end process: P&L, balance sheet, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
* Prepare and submit VAT returns, interest calculations, and working tax returns
* Support the preparation of year-end accounts for audit, liaising closely with auditors
* Provide clear and actionable financial insights to operational teams
* Drive cost control, margin analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Bring strong commercial acumen to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities
What We're Looking For:
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* 5–7 years of post-qualified experience in an industry setting, ideally within manufacturing
* Solid understanding of management and financial accounting principles
* Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
* Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain financials to non-finance stakeholders
