This dynamic organisation is Ireland's fastest-growing public sector function, boasting a strong presence in Cork. As a Financial Analyst, you will join the Finance Operations team and play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate financial management, reporting, and compliance.
You will oversee month-end close activities, reconciliations, and control processes. Additionally, you'll manage all project accounting and fixed asset activities, collaborate with business units to monitor and validate cost allocations, and act as a liaison with IT to resolve project accounting system issues.
The role involves assisting in preparing financial reports for grants, contracts, and capital benchmarking activities, providing key financial information to external auditors and stakeholders, and working with leadership to develop reporting frameworks that drive business decision-making.
You'll also monitor system controls related to budgeting, lead efforts to enhance reporting efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise financial processes and reporting standards.
As a qualified accountant (Chartered, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA), you should possess strong Excel skills and solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
