Junior Quantity Surveyor Job Description
The role of Junior Quantity Surveyor is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for assisting in the management of project costs and budgets. This entails ensuring financial efficiency and value for money by working closely with senior quantity surveyors to estimate costs, procure materials, administer contracts, and monitor expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.
This vital function supports the delivery of construction projects on time and within budget while adhering to company procedures and industry standards. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions that align with business objectives.
* Supporting the management and monitoring of project costs to guarantee budgetary compliance.
* Contributing to the procurement process by preparing and reviewing contracts, tender documentation, and subcontractor agreements.
* Measuring, valuing, and certifying works completed on-site to ensure accurate financial records.
* Maintaining accurate records, including cost reports, valuations, and payment applications.
* Collaborating with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, variations, and claims.
* Preparing final accounts and project close-out documentation for seamless project closure.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
