Job Description Maternity Cover Compliance and Risk Officer Expected duration 20 August 2025 to 19 August 2026 (12 months). Duties and Responsibilities The principal duties and responsibilities of the role of Compliance and Risk Officer in the Transport Technology, to be discharged over period specified above, will include some or all of the following: Assisting Transport Technology Risk and Compliance Manager in the operation of Transport Technology Risk and Compliance function; Supporting risk registers in key operational areas by engaging with stakeholders and consolidating into an overall Transport Technology risk register; Progressing and documenting GDPR, FOI and Protected Disclosure requests; Maintaining, updating and developing key documentation in respect of GDPR and Privacy requirements; Co-ordinating with Corporate Data Protection counterparties; Supporting internal and external audit and review requests; Co-ordinating with Corporate Risk and Compliance counterparties; Supporting projects as required to ensure the completeness of compliance documentation and risk assessment prior to being passed to operations; Performing risk, compliance and data reviews and audits, on third party service providers; Documenting key policy, process and procedure status with operational stakeholders in the Transport Technology unit; and Delivering knowledge updates and training to Transport Technology operational functions. Essential Criteria Hold a minimum of a NFQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant subject, preferably business administration, compliance or risk; Have previous experience in a compliance support, risk or audit management function; Experience of risk operations in a technology facing environment; Demonstrated experience in developing and running compliance audit processes and procedures, preferably in accordance with a recognised service audit standard (ISAE or equivalent); Experience of stakeholder management in a complex multi-vendor IT environments; and Strong knowledge of compliance standards and regulations, especially in GDPR and FOI. Desirable Criteria Knowledge of public transport industry and its operating models; Knowledge of software and systems for risk and compliance a management services; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and create actionable insights; Experience in delivering knowledge updates and training sessions; Experience in conducting internal and external audits; and Experience in the development and enhancement of risk and compliance processes through innovative procedures and technology.
