Fleet Manager - East Cork We are seeking an experienced and organised Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance and efficient operation of a large and varied fleet based in Midleton, East Cork.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, good technical understanding, and the ability to manage servicing schedules, maintenance, and compliance across a busy transport operation.
Key Responsibilities Manage a fleet of approximately 85 vehicles and pieces of mobile equipment, including rigid trucks, artics, trailers, forklifts, truck-mounted units, vans, jeeps, and oil tankers and other static and mobile equipment.
Coordinate and oversee all servicing, testing, certification, and maintenance requirements to ensure all vehicles remain compliant and operational.
Liaise with main dealers, garages, and service providers to schedule maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance logs for all fleet assets.
Handle fleet administration, including warranty claims, insurance documentation, and fuel usage monitoring.
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
Support management with budgeting, cost control, and fleet planning.
Requirements Proven experience in fleet management or maintenance coordination.
Previous experience or background in Agriculture / Agri sector strong advantage.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, service providers, and internal teams.
Mechanical background or knowledge is a significant advantage but not essential.
Flexible attitude to working hours when required for breakdowns or urgent issues.
