Overview
Associate Director, Procurement, Secondary Data & Analytics role at Bristol Myers Squibb UK & Ireland. The role focuses on developing a Category Strategy for enterprise Secondary Data (e.g., sales data, claims data, health care data, real-world data) and Analytics Services to define the enterprise sourcing strategy for these spend categories. The role ensures alignment with business priorities and functional objectives.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain and implement a 3- to 5-year strategic plan and lead major category initiatives, including end-to-end process optimization, make/buy analyses, and recommendations to Business partner teams.
* Define buying channels and purchasing policies to drive compliance and adherence to category strategy, with a user-centric approach.
* Develop and maintain self-service processes and frameworks to allow business units to purchase against preferred suppliers and rate cards.
* Support data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Establish a global matrix team (Agile Sourcing, Strategic Corporate Transactions, Ex-US Site Leads) with clear roles and responsibilities to ensure one-face across the various business leads.
* Partner with BI&T and Commercial functions to manage data types (e.g., National/Subnational, Spec Pharm, Claims, Customer Master, VAP) and develop data stewardship practices to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
* Serve as subject matter expert for Data & Analytics categories and oversee the execution of category strategies by cross-functional and cross-market teams.
* Develop supplier management practices, including supplier segmentation, KPI development, scorecards, contract management, and a list of preferred suppliers; support supplier development efforts.
Qualifications
* Minimum BA/BS required (quantitative field preferred); MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
* Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a Secondary Data-related role or in a Procurement function.
* Demonstrated experience in change management, cross-functional/global team leadership, stakeholder management, data/information management, and project management.
* Procurement process knowledge, contract/agreement management, financial and market analysis, supplier management, and technology utilization.
* Experience in data acquisition and management to solve business challenges and identify opportunities for the business is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation range listed is for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. The starting range is $161,250 - $195,391, with potential incentives and stock opportunities based on eligibility. Final compensation determined by demonstrated experience.
