Integrated Systems Specialist
Job Summary: Design, specify, and manage installation of integrated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical oversight from conception to completion.
2. Evaluate work requirements based on needs analysis and bid specifications.
3. Create engineering drawings, calculations, and acoustical models.
4. Identify and resolve technical or logistical issues.
5. Determine special project requirements, including test equipment and specialized tools.
6. Test audio and video processing systems software.
7. Support installation teams with engineering expertise.
8. Oversee system commissioning, both in-house and on-site.
9. Evaluate products with vendors.
10. Provide weekly project updates.
11. Monitor project budget.
12. Design wall plates and overlays.
13. Test integrated systems and troubleshoot as needed.
14. Support control system programming for installation teams.
15. Coordinate personnel for installation with the Project Manager.
16. Support Project Manager during hand-off to installation teams.
17. Document test results from system testing and commissioning.
18. Review project designs created by internal and external resources.
19. Travel to job sites is required.
20. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and colleagues.
2. Possess strong business writing skills.
3. Proficient with test and calibration equipment.
4. Support user acceptance testing.
5. Program, change, and troubleshoot (AMX/Crestron) systems.
6. Diagnose complex system problems.
7. Maintain advanced computer skills for AV equipment design, configuration, and operation.
8. Work independently and meet deadlines.
9. Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues.
10. Valid Driver's License meeting AVI-SPL driving standards.
Requirements:
1. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
3. Minimum five years of AV experience preferred.
4. A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience.
