OverviewAt Dornan we are currently recruiting for Mechanical Supervisors to work on site in Cork.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the activities of various subcontractors, foremen and chargehandsEstablish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule for the projectTake responsibility for health and safety on site and lead by exampleOrganise workers, plant, machinery and materialsSupervise construction activitiesCoordinate with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitionsIdentify materials and equipment that may be requiredEnsure construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specificationsConduct quality control inspections on project sitesEnsure contractor activities are properly co-ordinatedEnsure that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standardsAnalyse and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely mannerTraining employees and apprentices are provided with relevant work experienceMaintaining detailed and accurate site reportsCommunicate project progress to key stakeholders, clients, architects and engineersQualifications5+ years industrial experience in a supervisor role
