Steel Designer

We are seeking a skilled Steel Designer, responsible for producing detailed drawings and plans for steel structures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Create detailed drawings using Tekla Structures/Solid Works/Advance Steel for multiple steel assemblies.
* Prepare drawings for steel fabrication and installation processes.
* Examine and review architectural and structural plans, ensuring all detailing aligns with project specifications and industry standards.
* Liaise closely with managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
* Isolate and resolve potential design problems before they escalate.
* Participate in project meetings to discuss technical issues required.
* Manage record keeping including up-to-date records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
* Observe H&S legislation requirements throughout the design process.
* Support in the preparation of material take-offs and fabrication lists.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Proven experience in designing structural steel components and assemblies.
* Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes and standards.
* Demonstratable aptitude to decipher technical drawings, and specifications.
* Proficiency in other CAD software and Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong detail-orientated mindset and precision required.
* Good communication skills and comfortable working alone or with a team.
* Relevant educational qualification.
* Preferably, knowledge of Advance Steel.
