Role Description
This is a full-time on-site opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant, based in Sligo. The role involves assisting service users with daily personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders. You will also provide companionship, emotional support, and ensure the overall well-being of clients. Maintaining accurate records of care activities and reporting any changes in clients' conditions will also be part of the responsibilities.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor
Experience in personal care, hygiene assistance, and basic healthcare support
Knowledge of health and safety protocols and the ability to adhere to care plans
Relevant certifications, such as a healthcare support qualification or equivalent, are an asset
Experience working with individuals with age-related or disability-specific needs is preferred
Flexibility to work various shifts and a valid driver's license for travel between service locations is highly beneficial
