This role presents an excellent opportunity to take on a challenging position as a Quantity Surveyor. Reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for contributing to the team's efforts in delivering quality and value for money projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate with sub-contractors to secure suitable schemes.
* Manage sub-contractor packages from appointment to final account settlement.
* Lead commercial matters with clients to ensure project objectives are met.
* Submit valuations and variations on schemes within agreed timelines.
* Provide regular cost reports aligned with project budgets.
* Develop strong working relationships with Contracts Managers and Site teams to achieve quality project delivery.
* Identify and address potential cost issues promptly.
Requirements:
* A third-level degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline is essential.
* Post-graduate experience of 2-5 years or 5+ years in a Main Contractor or Subbie environment is preferred.
* Strong estimating skills and negotiation experience in confirming, agreeing, and pricing variations are required.
* Familiarity with construction contracts such as JCT/NEC/PWC contracts is beneficial.
* Proficient IT skills are necessary for efficient project management.
* A valid driving license is essential for site visits.
