Automation Innovation Leader
The development of complex automation systems begins with innovation.
This role provides technical leadership in the creation of such systems, driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring robust, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes.
* Create bespoke automation solutions based on technology roadmaps.
* Owning funding proposals, initial design, proof of concept development, system testing, solution provider/supplier selection, and management, and rollout of automation solutions to other sites.
This position supports the design, prototyping, assembly, and development of automation for existing processes and mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead design activities, analysis, modification, and integration of robotics, automation technologies, and processes related to equipment.
* Ensure applicability to programs and products, handling high complexities.
* Develop proposals for funding of automation solutions for internal and external audiences.
* Collaborate with cross-functional partners to conduct complex technical experiments, research, and design various prototypes to achieve consensus and make informed technical decisions.
This role requires a strong background in automation, preferably in robotics, vision, or electrical experience.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Scientific field.
* A minimum of 6 years of experience working in automation (robotics/vision or electrical experience preferred).
* Expert skills in mechanical design, programming skills (PLC, Robotics, or vision), or electrical design.
