 
        
        Clinical Nurse Specialist
Specialising in Radiotherapy, this role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide expert care and support to patients with cancer.
 * Provide specialist advice to staff, patients and the public regarding Radiotherapy.
 * Act as a resource in providing specialist knowledge, consultancy and expertise in collaboration with healthcare staff.
 * Advise on the nursing care of individual patients for Radiotherapy.
This Clinical Nurse Specialist will have a strong patient focus, ensuring that the specialty is defined by its nursing practice and adheres to the overall purpose, functions and ethical standards of nursing/midwifery.
 * Direct care encompasses the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care to the patient, family and/or carer.
 * Indirect care relates to the activities that influence and support the provision of direct care.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
 * Providing a specialist nursing service for patients with a diagnosis of Cancer who require support and treatment through the continuum of care.
 * Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating physical, psychological, social and spiritual elements of care using best evidence-based practice in Cancer care.
 * Maintaining effective communication structures and interpersonal relations.
 * Providing education and advice to patients, relatives/carers on radiotherapy treatments.
