You will be joining a small, hands‑on board with a strong vested interest in seeing this capital project brought to life for the community.
Key Responsibilities

Provide financial oversight to the Board, including reviewing budgets, management accounts, and financial reports
Support best‑practice financial governance, risk management, and compliance
Advise on funding, sustainability, and financial aspects of the Centre’s strategic plans, including the new community building project
Attend board meeting and contribute to subcommittees as required
Act as a collaborative, supportive, and engaged member of the Board of Management

Who We’re Looking For

Experience in finance, accounting, auditing, or related fields
Understanding of nonprofit or community‑sector governance (desirable but not essential)
Commitment to the mission of Deansrath Family Centre and the families we serve
Someone who values integrity, transparency, good governance and community wellbeing

Time Commitment
Approximately 6-8 meetings per year, including preparation and occasional subcommittee work. Meetings are generally held at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre or The Fumbally, Dublin 8.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to use your professional skills to support a high‑impact community organisation serving over 400 families annually — and to contribute to a transformational capital project that will bring a first‑of‑its‑kind family centre to life in St. Cuthbert’s Park.
