Cliff House Hotel is currently recruiting for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team.
The Kitchen Porter will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness and supporting the kitchen team in various tasks.
Main Responsibilities
1. Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient cleaning of the back of house areas, including plate wash, pot wash, canteen, still room, kitchen, and fridges.
2. Ensure that the stairs and rubbish area outside are kept clean and tidy at all times. Rubbish should be compacted and stored correctly, and the bottle bin emptied daily.
3. Follow and adhere to all cleaning schedules. Ensure all deep cleaning tasks are checked and signed off by a Head of Department (HOD).
4. Report any breakages to the HOD for proper recording.
5. Clean the plate wash machine daily, drain and clean it at night before leaving. Ensure the correct chemicals are used, and report any issues to the HOD.
6. Keep all hand wash basins clean and unobstructed. Ensure soap and paper dispensers are always full.
7. Maintain company and statutory hygiene standards.
8. Be clean, tidy, well-groomed, and dressed in the correct uniform at all times.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is advantageous but not required.
