Job Title: Senior Compliance Officer Location: Dublin City Working Model: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in-office post-training) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our client, a leading international General Insurance Group, with a substantial presence in the Irish market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established compliance function in a dynamic and highly regulated environment. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in delivering assurance to senior management on the effectiveness of the internal control and risk management framework. You will also lead the execution of the annual Compliance Plan and help embed a mature compliance culture throughout the business. Your Role Lead the delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan, ensuring coverage of key risk areas. Conduct risk-based reviews, provide clear findings, and agree actions with senior management. Track and follow up on agreed actions to ensure timely resolution. Prepare written updates and reports for the Chief Compliance Officer and senior stakeholders. Act as a technical leader and mentor within the compliance team, supporting ongoing skills development. Provide oversight and advice on the design and effectiveness of compliance controls across the business. Contribute to budget planning, resource allocation and financial performance management within the department. Your Skills Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Compliance, Internal Controls or Risk function within the insurance industry. A relevant compliance qualification such as the ACOI Diploma or Certificate, with a strong commitment to continuing professional development. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks including CPC, MCC, Solvency II, Data Protection legislation and other guidance issued by the Central Bank of Ireland. Experience in compliance reporting and stakeholder management at senior levels. Strong influencing skills and the ability to challenge constructively across all levels of the organisation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical mindset and a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
