Position: Clerical Officer Grade IV (Temporary)
Contract Duration: Temporary, 3 Months with view of extension
Hours: 35 hours per week. 9-5
Hourly Rate: €19.57 per hour
Location: Dublin 10
Role Purpose
The Clerical Officer will provide efficient administrative and clerical support to a public service body, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
2. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (post, email, phone calls)
3. Maintain accurate electronic and manual records in line with policies and GDPR requirements
4. Schedule appointments and support diary management as required
5. Assist with preparation of reports, documents, and spreadsheets
6. Update internal systems and databases accurately and in a timely manner
7. Deal professionally and sensitively with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders
8. Support team members with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
9. Adhere to policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
Essential Requirements
10. Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role
11. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
12. Strong organisational and time-management skills
13. High level of attention to detail and accuracy
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Professional manner with good communication skills (written and verbal)
16. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
