Reporting to the CFO, you will take responsibility for the overall financial management of the organisation while also driving operational efficiency, governance, and process improvements across systems and departments. Your New Job Key Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management & Compliance Lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting. Deliver monthly management accounts, forecasts, and board reporting packs. Oversee the preparation of annual accounts, manage audits, and statutory filings. Drive continuous improvement in financial management processes and controls. Systems & Process Optimization Own ERP and finance system integration; collaborate with IT on upgrades, business continuity, and system improvements. Review and maintain operational workflows across finance, procurement, and compliance functions. Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and system alignment across all departments. Identify gaps in the organisations controls, systems, and processes, working with relevant teams to design and implement improvements. Monitor and enhance budgeting and forecasting processes through improved systems and automation. Operational Oversight Manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team, setting clear objectives, KPIs, and deliverables, and reviewing performance against targets. Monitor cross-functional KPIs and overall operational performance. Collaborate with department leads to align systems and reporting with strategic goals. Lead ESG and sustainability tracking within operational and reporting systems. Strategic Collaboration Partner with HR Manager on payroll audits, pension compliance, and workforce performance metrics. Partner with IT Manager on system architecture, data integrity, and digital transformation initiatives. Partner with project and operations managers to ensure data is being captured, reported, and used effectively to improve delivery and client outcomes. Act as the go-to for regulatory, tax, and systems-related queries. Contribute to strategic decision-making and play a key role in supporting the companys scaling objectives. What Were Looking For Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in a senior finance or operations role within a busy commercial environment. Proven people management experience with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong commercial acumen and experience across both financial management and operational oversight. Demonstrated ability to identify and bridge process and control gaps. Excellent systems and IT skills with experience in ERP platforms, digital finance, and project management systems.
