Job Title: Medical Equipment Specialist
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing the on-site and workshop installation, maintenance, validation, upgrade, calibration and repair of complex equipment and systems.
The role involves dealing directly with device operators, their managers, manufacturers' technical departments and sales teams. You will investigate faults and sign off documentation certifying correct functioning of devices and systems.
Application support and customer operational and maintenance training is a key element of the role. The field service engineer serves as the liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
1. Fault finding, maintenance and repair of medical equipment
2. Organising and scheduling service calls
3. Updating IT system and requisitioning spare parts with procurement team
4. Attending training courses and refresher training as required
5. Review of process and equipment maintenance documentation and SOPs as necessary
6. Carrying out all activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
7. Participating in cross-functional teams as necessary
8. Ensuring compliance with quality and customer site regulations
9. Working in accordance with work instructions and safe working practices ensuring relevant paperwork is completed accurately and timely
10. Attending internal & external training courses
11. Conducting on-site installation of complex equipment following testing procedures to ensure proper working order
12. Conducting scheduled, planned preventative maintenance visits
13. Providing troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel
14. Traveling to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnel
15. Completing and submitting field service reports
16. Providing training for customers and users on system maintenance
