ATG are seeking a motivated and skilled Transport Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing transport projects, with a focus on road safety, traffic flow, and sustainable mobility solutions.
This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver transport infrastructure projects, including roads, junctions, cycle lanes, and pedestrian facilities.
Conduct traffic impact assessments, transport modelling, and feasibility studies.
Develop innovative solutions to improve traffic flow, safety, and accessibility.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for planning submissions and project delivery.
Collaborate with local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams on transport projects.
Ensure compliance with national and local transport regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Provide support during project construction phases, including site inspections and quality assurance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in transport engineering or traffic planning.
Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., VISSIM, SIDRA, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
Strong knowledge of Irish transport policies, design standards (TII, NRA, NTA), and planning processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or eligibility is desirable but not essential.
