ATG are seeking a motivated and skilled Transport Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing transport projects, with a focus on road safety, traffic flow, and sustainable mobility solutions.
This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver transport infrastructure projects, including roads, junctions, cycle lanes, and pedestrian facilities.
* Conduct traffic impact assessments, transport modelling, and feasibility studies.
* Develop innovative solutions to improve traffic flow, safety, and accessibility.
* Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for planning submissions and project delivery.
* Collaborate with local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams on transport projects.
* Ensure compliance with national and local transport regulations, standards, and guidelines.
* Provide support during project construction phases, including site inspections and quality assurance.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in transport engineering or traffic planning.
* Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., VISSIM, SIDRA, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
* Strong knowledge of Irish transport policies, design standards (TII, NRA, NTA), and planning processes.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or eligibility is desirable but not essential.
