The Role
Successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist as part of a multidisciplinary team, in the General Adult setting in Highfield Healthcare. Services are incorporating inpatient, day hospital, home base treatment and outpatients care.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates Must
* MB, Bch essential
* General Registration with Irish Medical Council essential
* X2 written references essential
* BLS - desirable
* Relevant experience in a mental health setting- desirable
* Adaptability to changes in healthcare
* Ability to work well within team environment
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development
Other Requirements
* To promote patient care by liaising with all departments
* Ensure appropriate and timely communication as required with Admissions Staff, Ward Manager and staff, and consultant in charge of patient
* To participate in any in-service training as required such as CPR, Health and Safety, fire training etc.
* To provide in-service training to staff where requested and appropriate.
* Ensure on-going continuous professional development by reading current medical and psychiatric journals and on-going professional training.
* Empathising with patients, their family and friends and adopt a customer-focused approach at all times.
