Job Title: In Vivo Technician Department: Biomedical Research Facility Reporting to: Biomedical Research Facility Manager Location: Dublin City Centre Contract/Duration: 12 months Closing Date: 6th July 2025 Summary of Post The Technical Officer will report to the BRF manager and day-to-day compliance officer, assisting with regulatory compliance in relevant legislation (i.e.
Health and Safety, SI 543 of 2012).
They will perform animal technologist duties within a barrier-access rodent facility in accordance with RCSI BRF standard operating procedures and in compliance with all relevant statutory and European legislation.
Additionally they will provide technical support for the operation of the BRF to assist to the research projects conducted in the animal unit.
The Technical staff work according to the BRF rota arrangements, inclusive of weekends, Public Holidays and College closure days.
Communication between different stakeholders such as facility manager, technical and research groups is essential.
