Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our innovative Sports Analytics & Betting Markets team. In this role, you will leverage advanced data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive actionable insights for sports performance, player analytics, and betting market predictions. Key Responsibilities
Develop predictive models and algorithms for player performance, match outcomes, and betting market trends.
Conduct deep-dive analyses of historical sports data, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business development to integrate data-driven solutions.
Design and implement automated pipelines for data collection, cleaning, and analysis from multiple sports and betting data sources.
Monitor model performance and recalibrate predictive algorithms to maintain high accuracy and reliability.
Provide actionable insights and visualization dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in sports analytics, AI, and machine learning applied to betting markets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures.
Knowledge of sports analytics and betting market dynamics is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Experience
3–5 years of professional experience in data science, preferably with exposure to sports analytics, betting markets, or related industries.
Proven track record of designing and deploying predictive models in a business or research setting.
Experience working in fast-paced startup or technology-driven environments is a plus.
Working Hours
Full-time role, 40–45 hours per week.
Flexibility in remote and hybrid work arrangements depending on project requirements.
Occasional weekend or evening work may be required during major sporting events or product deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong statistical and mathematical modeling skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or equivalent).
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Creative thinking and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving datasets and markets.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data storage and model deployment is advantageous.
