Role
The postholder provides a clerical and administrative service within Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services at Leverndale Hospital, supporting clinical staff and ensuring smooth ward operations.

Full-time, Permanent
Location: Leverndale Hospital, Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services, Glasgow
Work pattern: TBC with Senior Charge Nurse
Key Responsibilities
Maintain patient records — Ensure manual records are available for all admissions and attendances
Update administration systems — Keep computerised and manual systems accurate for admissions, transfers and discharges
Provide clerical support — Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks required for effective patient care
Housekeeping duties — Support general ward organisation
Refreshment access — Ensure refreshments are available during visiting times
Maintain stock levels — Monitor and replenish ward supplies
Cross‑cover duties — Provide cover, including Reception desk duties
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required
Ability to manage clerical tasks within guidelines
Understanding of patient administration processes (manual and computerised)
Awareness of ward procedures, stock management, and basic housekeeping expectations
Good organisational and communication skills
Keyboard skills
Proficient use of the patient administration system
