Kitchen Porter The Highfield Healthcare Catering Department provide meals, snacks, beverages and sundries to our 300+ residents and patients as well as to our colleagues in the staff canteen and visitors to our coffee shop.

Type of contract: Full time - 70 hours per fortnight Location: Highfield Healthcare, Swords Rd, Whitehall, Dublin, D09 H343.
Short distance from city centre with free parking and bus stop (multiple routes) at the front door.

Successful candidate will: Ensure that they are fully aware of the HACCP Programme and that HACCP guidelines are fully implemented.
Deliver meals to our sister facility using company vehicle.
Responsibility for goods in & out of the kitchen and maintenance of records for same.
Be responsible for the washing and cleaning of all kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Empty all returned trays and wash contents plus trays.
Wash and de-stain crockery & utensils as necessary.
Replace all delph, crockery and cutlery to designated areas for re-use.
As Chef requires, wash pots and pans as used.
Clean and wash floors as required, and keep kitchen area clean at all times, assist with kitchen deep cleans as required.
Ensure that cold & freezer rooms are maintained in a clean/tidy manner.
All kitchen equipment, including ovens, vents, extractor fans, work tops, fridges-freezers, cooker hoods, walls & fly screens to be kept clean and tidy at all times.
Assist with basic food preparation as required by chef.
Requirements: Be authorised to work in Ireland - no work permits will be issued for this role.
Previous experience in a kitchen porter, catering, or similar role is desirable but not essential Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is an advantage) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a multicultural team Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Flexibility to assist with basic food preparation duties as required Highfield Healthcare is an equal opportunities employer.
