Role Profile Job title Investment Data Manager Business Unit Future Ireland Funds Reports to Deputy Director Contract Type Permanent *CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 11th MAY 2026* Summary of the Business The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government.
It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.
Businesses managed by the NTMA include the National Debt, State Claims Agency, New Economy and Recovery Authority (New ERA), Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, National Development Finance Agency and the Future Ireland Funds.
The NTMA also assigns staff to the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI).

Future Ireland Funds In October 2023, the Minister for Finance announced the proposal to establish two new funds - the Future Ireland Fund (FIF) and the Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund (ICNF).
The NTMA oversees and manages both the FIF, which aims to ensure steady and long-term support for state expenditure from 2041, and the ICNF, which is designed to bolster state spending after 2026 in response to economic downturns or to fund environmental initiatives between 2026 and 2030.
The landmark Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund Act 2024 was signed into law in June 2024.
The Long-Term Investment Strategies for both the FIF and ICNF were published in January 2026.

The role provides a unique opportunity for a high-calibre person with a track record of meeting stakeholder requirements across all aspects of data, analytics and management information to gain exposure to the highest standards of the investment management industry and to lead the delivery of all of the Fund's investment and non-investment information and reporting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of data management, including data governance and quality, analytics, reporting, insights and all information for internal and external stakeholders, ultimately helping to drive business and investment decisions.
A key objective will be the establishment and maintenance of a robust, well-governed data environment to support the Future Ireland Fund's investment, portfolio construction, monitoring, risk, ESG, and reporting requirements.
All members of the Future Ireland Funds team are required to remain flexible to respond to the dynamic nature of the mandate - this may require team members to apply their skills outside of their core areas of responsibility, from time to time.
Principal Accountabilities The principal responsibilities will include the following: Design and implementation of a data governance framework appropriate to a sovereign investment fund, aligned with NTMA policies and statutory obligations.
Responsibility for the management and provision of investment data and ad hoc analytics in support of overall investment decision making.
Creation and implementation of policies for effective data management.
Management of data flows from external managers, custodian and market data providers.
Oversight of reconciliation processes and investigation of discrepancies across internal and external data sources.
Ensuring high-quality data is available to support internal reporting, Investment Committee materials, senior management updates, and statutory disclosures.
Lead/perform in-depth analysis of data quality issues presenting in financial data from different sources, understanding the root cause of these anomalies and proposing and leading remediation activities through to closure.
Ensuring data architecture is scalable and flexible, reflecting the Fund's phased growth and evolving investment activities.
Leading the design and delivery of dashboards, BI tools, statistical models and insights for the streamlined production and analysis of management information to support management decision making.
Responsibility for data considerations related to holistically managing the Funds across public and private assets.
Lead development of total portfolio analytics and analysing, adjusting and managing the funds index, benchmark and underlying investment data.
Partnering with colleagues to provide data analytics and actionable insights for the benefit of FIF.
Communication and presentation of analytical findings to various levels as required.
Facilitate and lead meetings and workshops to gather data requirements from stakeholders.
Leading relationships with other teams within FIF, the wider NTMA and external stakeholders as required.
Desired Knowledge and Experience The ideal candidate will: Have minimum 7+ years' experience in a similar role with experience in data management, data governance and data analytics activities within asset management, sovereign wealth, pension funds, insurance, or similar financial institutions.
Have a relevant third level qualification.
Demonstrate understanding of investment data and its interaction across public and/or private markets, including performance, risk, benchmarks, ESG, and portfolio exposures.
Demonstrate experience in delivering best in class analytics and reporting capabilities to meet various business needs.
Experience in implementing best practice in data quality processes across the key dimensions of data quality and at all stages of the data management lifecycle.
Knowledge & experience working with Microsoft Power BI and broader experience and knowledge of the capabilities of the MS Power Platform.
Knowledge of data modeling, databases and experience in the extraction, transformation and loading of data using appropriate query methods.
Experience in other market leading analytics tools is an advantage e.g.
R, Python etc.
and their integration within investment data processing.
Experience in production of a variety of analytics solutions in the format of BI reports, dashboards, statistical models and scorecards.
Public and private markets investment knowledge, alongside financial modeling experience is an advantage.
Skills Strong analytical and numerical skills with the application of appropriate statistical testing.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven stakeholder management skills with an ability to interact with stakeholders at a senior level.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
A flexible team player and comfortable with evolving and changing priorities.
Individual needs to be diligent, self-motivated and a clear thinker.

Pension Abatement If an appointee has previously been employed in the Civil or Public Service and that appointee is entitled to or in receipt of a pension from the Civil or Public Service or where a Civil/Public Service pension comes into payment during the appointee's re-employment that pension will be subject to abatement in accordance with Section 52 of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and other Provisions) Act 2012.
