Empower Lives in the Disability Sector
We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to promote active citizenship and empower individuals to live independently at home and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement person-centred plans that support service users' goals and aspirations
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders
* Transport service users to access community services, promoting social inclusion and participation
* Perform administrative tasks, including weekly reporting and advocacy, to ensure effective service delivery
Requirements:
* A relevant QQI qualification (Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent)
* Experience working with disability sector service users, with a focus on empowering individuals to live independently
* Age 18 or older, with a full clean manual driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
* Excellent spoken and written English language skills, with previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in relevant sectors
