Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Doctor to join our dynamic team at Nua Healthcare Mental Health Services, Cork.
The post holder will be responsible for planning and providing high-quality services, including assessment, diagnosis, devising, monitoring, and reviewing treatment programs.
Daily Responsibilities

Assist in delivering quality services in line with policies and regulations
Undertake basic psychiatric assessments and diagnostic formulation
Perform risk assessments and management
Collaborate with the primary healthcare team to provide medical care
Order tests and refer to specialists as needed
Analyze reports and medical records to diagnose and propose treatments
Prescribe medications and treatments, discussing side effects and allergies
Adhere to policies, safety, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
Fully registered Medical Practitioner with the Irish Medical Council
MBBS or equivalent qualification
In good standing with Medical Council Ireland
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001
Knowledge of Psychopharmacology principles
Experience working with adults with mental health issues and complex needs
Skills
Strong clinical skills with a biopsychosocial approach
Reflective practitioner with CPD engagement
