My client, a mayo based manufacturing company that specialises in metal products for the medical device industry is looking to recruit a Senior Quality Engineer for their Castlebar site. The successful candidate will work on a team of 5 quality professionals and report to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with company policies and customer guidelines in managing quality control and assurance aspects of production and testing
* Apply and uphold Customer and quality requirements, including updating procedures, work instructions, and forms, as well as reviewing customer specifications
* Develop and enhance methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
* Lead and participate in internal, external, customer, and regulatory quality audits.
* Support supplier management activities, including supplier validation, auditing, and monitoring.
* Assist with process validation activities, including analysing process control data and contributing to the development of protocols and reports.
* Conduct material inspections and certification
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering (Level 8), a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience demonstrating relevant skills and abilities
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency with ISO standards is required; experience with AS and ISO standards is preferred
* Strong proficiency in computer applications related to quality, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Minitab
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
