Job Title: Radiographer Specialist
Location: North Tipperary Region - 30 Minutes from Limerick City
Job Type: Full-time and Part time, One-Year Fixed-Term Contract (35 hours/week + on-call)
Salary: In line with HSE Senior Radiographer pay scales
A motivated, CORU registered Radiographer is sought to join a dynamic Radiology department in a hospital known for its community focused care.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides services to both inpatients and outpatients.
They offer General and Emergency Radiography, CT, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound services.
The appointed Radiographer will work as part of the Radiography team, providing high-quality radiography services to patients in assigned areas according to professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate daily in the general radiography service in designated areas, actively engaging in upskilling and professional development opportunities.
* Contribute to out-of-hours services as required.
* Maintain high standards of patient care and radiographic techniques, adhering to radiation protection principles.
* Ensure a clean, safe working environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
* Report equipment faults to the designated supervisor and log them appropriately.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Must hold a Diploma or Degree in Radiography.
* Must be CORU registered.
* Knowledge of the RIS system and experience with on-call services.
* Flexibility to adapt to changes in healthcare environments.
* Strong awareness of Radiation Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
* Current knowledge of Diagnostic Radiography theory and practice.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
