Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) System Administrator Our client a renowned branded retailer in Waterford City requires an EPoS Administrator to join its team.
Reporting to the General Manager the main purpose of this role is to ensure accurate, reliable & efficient operation of the companys EPoS System to further the goals of the business.
Ensure accurate recording of sales, purchasing, pricing and stock transactions and update of data.
Provide timely and accurate reporting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES Monitor operations of EPoS system to ensure accuracy.
Ensure update of Supplier Pricing data.
Ensure Retail Prices are updated as necessary in accordance with pricing policy.
Monitor and ensure Stock File accuracy is maintained Enable Purchasing and Goods Inwards functions to operate accurately & efficiently Assist and coach users.
Ensure high standards of security.
Provide accurate, timely and relevant reporting.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of sales transactions and checkout equipment.
Manage hardware/software upgrades and maintenance by external providers.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES Providing first line support for network issues and liaise with external support provider to ensure accuracy and safety.
Ensure Data backup.
Managing linked application eg Scales software, Ecommerce software.
Training and Coaching users.
Implement improvements.
Liaise and monitor activities of software support providers Assist with other related issues as the arise.

The successful candidate should have: Experience in using and overseeing operation of computer applications.
A Computer Science or Information Technology qualification.
Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
Understanding of computer systems & networks.
An ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Other Information 39 hour working week Monday to Friday role but some flexibility is required to respond to the needs of the business and unplanned events.
