Our clients are currently recruiting a Graduate Engineer to join a multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering team based in Macroom, County Cork. The successful candidate will support the design, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of civil and structural engineering projects across commercial, industrial, and public sector developments.
Working under the guidance of a Chartered Engineer, this role offers excellent exposure to all stages of project delivery, from initial concept through to completion. This is a permanent position, involving both office- and site-based work, primarily in County Cork.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and technical delivery of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, and infrastructure systems
Support the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports
Contribute to project delivery across feasibility, planning, design, and construction stages
Liaise with senior engineers, clients, contractors, and stakeholders as required
Ensure work is carried out in compliance with relevant Irish standards and regulations
Attend site visits, inspections, and assist with progress assessments
Work closely with Chartered Engineers and senior team members to develop technical skills
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and project proposals
Support the monitoring of project timelines, budgets, and resources
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times
Requirements
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8 or higher)
Strong academic background with an interest in pursuing Chartered Engineer status (Engineers Ireland)
0–2 years’ relevant experience (including internships or placements)
Good understanding of civil/structural engineering principles
Familiarity with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is advantageous
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Full, clean driving licence is essential
