Leadership Position
Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a crucial role in ensuring the provision of high-quality and safe nursing services across the hospital. This position requires professional leadership to nursing staff at all levels, providing expert advice and contributing to the development and implementation of nursing policy and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of nursing professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other stakeholders to develop and implement nursing strategies that meet the needs of patients and the public.
* Participate in duty rosters and support the Director of Nursing as required.
* Develop and lead on nursing metrics across assigned areas of responsibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with a Level 8 or higher qualification in a health care or management-related area. They must have a minimum of 7 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting and 4 years' management experience at CNM II level or above.
