The Panel is working on a retained basis with an Investment Manager, who is part of a large European group, to source an experienced
Head of Compliance, Ireland
. The firm has funds in Ireland and is now looking to establish their own AIFM here. The role has a direct line to the Group Head of Compliance in London and dotted line to the CEO, Ireland.
The role:
* Drive and lead the licencing process with the CBI and foster a strong working relationship with the local regulator
* Report to the board with significant interaction with the c-suite on a daily basis. You will also obtain their approval on your compliance and risk monitoring programme
* Provide leadership, support and strategic, commercially focused, real-time advice to the business and compliance colleagues on compliance and regulatory matters
* Monitor regulatory developments in Ireland and the EU relating to AIF funds and keep the
* Act as the designated representative for Data Protection/GDPR issues in Ireland
* Be an active part of the wider group compliance function and suppor the Group Head of Compliance
The Candidate
Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in a compliance role in the ManCo, investment management or funds industry is required
Extensive technical knowledge and experience working with the Central Bank on AFIMD regulations
Proven experience in liaising with the Central Bank or other EU regulators at a senior level
Previous approval and experience operating in a PCF role
Extensive experience and knowledge of Irish and EU anti-money laundering rule and regulations and best practice approach for implementing a robust AML framework is required
