Position:HR GeneralistLocation:Galway (with support across 2 sites in Ireland)Industry:Medical DeviceType:Permanent, Full-timeReports to:Onsite HR ManagerAbout the Role:We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to join a leading Medical Device company based in Galway. This role will play a key part in supporting HR operations across two sites in Ireland, reporting directly to the onsite HR Manager. You will be involved in the full spectrum of HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle, helping to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and policies.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & Onboarding:Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including screening and interviewingPrepare offer letters, conduct background checks, and manage onboarding logisticsFacilitate new employee orientation and support exit interviewsPolicy, Compliance & Administration:Draft, update, and enforce HR policies and proceduresMaintain accurate HRIS records and personnel filesConduct audits and prepare compliance reportsBenefits & Compensation:Administer enrollment in employee benefit programsAddress claims and support employees with benefit queriesPerformance Management & Training:Support annual reviews and ongoing performance feedbackIdentify training needs and coordinate career development initiativesEmployee Relations & Engagement:Serve as primary HR contact for employee queries and grievancesLead investigations, handle disciplinary procedures, and resolve conflictsOrganise engagement activities, recognition programmes, and culture initiativesHR Support & Reporting:Advise managers on HR matters including coaching and workforce planningPrepare HR reports and support ongoing improvement of HR policiesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)Minimum 3 years' experience in HR generalist or specialist role, ideally within a regulated industryCIPD qualification preferredExcellent knowledge of Irish employment law and regulatory requirementsStrong HRIS/data management and analysis skillsHighly skilled in recruitment, employee relations, and conflict resolutionOutstanding communication, organisational, and project management abilitiesAble to handle confidential information with discretion and integrityWorking Conditions:Fully onsite office base environment in Galway with occasional moderate travel to other siteOccasional requirement for after-hours support to resolve urgent HR mattersCore hours: 39hrs per weekMonday-Thursday: 9.00am-5.30pmFriday: 8.00am-4.00pmBenefits:Health InsurancePension Scheme (company contribution increases with service)Death in Service BenefitAttendance AwardsEmployee of the Quarter/Year RecognitionChristmas BonusLong Service Awards21 days annual leave, increasing with length of serviceKSGalwayShould you require any support or assistance, please contact your local Gi Group office.Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited are proud founding members of Menopause in business, pledge members for Neurodiversity in business, Disability committed members, Gold status pledge members for the Armed Forces Covenant, and Bronze trail blazers for Racial Equality matters.Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited, Grafton Professional Staffing Limited, Encore Personnel Services, Gi Group Ireland Limited and Kelly Services (UK) Ltd.
