Our client, a global leader of medical device manufacturing solutions, is hiring an Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs and builds Automated Equipment for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and other highly regulated sectors. You will become part of a growing multi-disciplinary team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation and have responsibility for Machine control system software design, development, and commissioning.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, VisionDevelop, test, commission, and support machine control softwareDesign of equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety, and clients’ standardsInterpret and develop design and validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc)Specification of control system componentsCollaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycleJob requirementsRelevant 3rd level degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in this role or a similar position.PLC and HMI experience desirable, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens platformsKnowledge of automated machine design, specification, and developmentAbility to create technical documentationFamiliarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics an advantageExcellent communication skills with a proactive and energetic approachStrong organizational skills with a quality-minded outlook and a problem-solving attitudeAbility to work well in a multifunctional teamDriving License and ability to travelWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
