My Dublin City Centre based client is growing and is looking for a permanent SQL DBA to take ownership of their SQL Server environments across on-premises and Azure platforms. This role will be hybrid working. Responsibilities Managing, maintaining, and optimising SQL Server databases in Azure and on-premises environments. Ensuring high availability, performance, and data security across all systems. Automating processes and streamlining workflows using PowerShell. Managing backups, recovery, and disaster-recovery strategies. Supporting SSIS, SSRS, and other SQL Server components. Troubleshooting performance issues and implementing proactive solutions. Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to deliver ongoing projects. Keeping documentation clear and up-to-date while staying current with SQL Server and Azure best practices. Experience Required 5+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA in a dynamic, enterprise environment. Proven hands-on experience with Azure SQL and cloud-based database management. Strong background in performance tuning, high availability, and backup/recovery. Knowledge of Azure services such as SQL Database and Data Factory. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
