Job Title: Business Analyst (Senior)
Location: Dublin 4 (Hybrid Model, 2 days a week onsite)
Contract / Permanent: 12 Months with further extension.
Start date: May 2025.
Experience Level Required:
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of: Senior level experience (i.e., has >7 years’ experience) directly relevant experience working as a Business Analyst.
Qualifications:
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents:
• A qualification at Level 8 on the NFQ major award (i.e. honors degree), or higher, in a relevant discipline (Information Technology, Computer Science etc.) or another relevant field.
• Project management qualification/certification (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent, including Agile SCRUM).
Key Deliverables:
The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role:
• Business process analysis, including process mapping.
• Systematic and methodology driven business process analysis (e.g. LEAN Six Sigma).
• Project management, following a systematic and methodology driven approach (e.g. RUP, PRINCE, etc.).
• Facilitating workshops as part of requirements gathering.
• Business process design incorporating process mapping (e.g. Visio process maps).
• Building user stories and associated acceptance criteria.
• Building comprehensive test plans and documents to support solution delivery.
• Building comprehensive documentation and transitioning support documentation to various stakeholder groups (i.e. business and technical audiences).
• Providing system support, know-how, and understanding of operational systems and processes.
• Conduct research in business and IT area as required, building strong evidence to support decision making, business cases, etc.
• Review and analysis of the organisations business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes to leads to business improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies, producing high-level and detailed business models.
• Prepares detailed specifications and oversees development and implementation of solutions, taking into account the implications of change in the organisation and all stakeholders.
• Liaises with management regarding the delivery of process and organisational change.
Requirements
Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets:
The following competencies are applicable to this Role:
1. Systems Analysis and Design:
• Demonstrate strong systems analysis skills, with familiarity and experience across multiple systems analysis and development methodologies.
• Experience of different analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience in the use of prototyping techniques, including wireframing and screen mock-ups.
• Demonstrate strong ability to conduct research as part of building evidence bases for decision making, business cases, etc.
2. Project Management Experience:
• Demonstrable Project Management experience, with supporting certification preferential.
• Excellent ability in prioritizing and scheduling work as required, with proven ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong skills in the co-ordination and execution of system testing and UAT and in-system implementation and training.
• Proven client relationship management with the ability to establish and build relationships with clients to ensure delivery of products and services that best serve the business needs.
• Experience working within formal SCRUM or equivalent Agile methodologies.
3. General:
• Demonstrate a proven track record in working as part of a team, with excellent customer service and collaboration skills.
• Experienced managing third parties involved in the delivery process.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to transfer skills and know-how to client staff through regular review meetings, coaching, and documentation.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience of change management, including using formal change management techniques (e.g. Prosci).
